Come join us as we celebrate two amazing members of the Livermore Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club community, Norm Volponi and Al Ferreira, with our 2nd annual memorial trap shoot weekend August 22-23. 


  • Saturday, August 22: Al Ferreira Memorial Singles
  • Sunday, August 23: Norm Volponi Memorial Handicap


Norm Volponi was a founding member, past President, and Director Emeritus of the Livermore-Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club, and was famous across the West Coast (Reno, Las Vegas, California) as a premier manual tournament cashier. Before computers, he could calculate complex betting options and post payoff results for over 500 handicap shooters within an hour. Norm was voted into the California Trapshooting Hall of Fame and inducted at the 113th California State Shoot.


Al Ferreira was a long time member of LPRG, and a highly respected figure in the West Coast competitive shooting community, recognized for his exceptional marksmanship and contributions to the sport. He was inducted into the California Trapshooting Hall of Fame in 2018 for his career excellence as well as being one of a select group of shooters in history to achieve the prestigious Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) Grand Slam, and to achieve elite AA27AA recognition.


Come out, break some targets, enjoy the competition, and help us honor two legends that are part of our trapshooting community.
