If you've been on the fence about trying out a trap competition, then the Quail 150 is the challenge you've been looking for. The Quail 150 is a Livermore Pleasanton Rod & Gun club local event, held several times throughout the year on the 4th Saturday of the month. It's an easy introduction to trap competitions, without needing to jump straight into the commitment of a PITA or ATA membership.

So what is the Quail 150? As the name implies, the shoot includes 150 targets spread across 3 events;

• Singles: 50 targets of single clays
• Doubles (aka Pair Doubles):  25 double targets (each pull throws 2 clays for 50 targets total)
• Handicap: 50 targets shooting at your handicap distance (16 to 27 yards)

Anyone can attend the Quail 150, it's a non-registered event (i.e. not registered with either PITA or ATA). You'll get a fun day of trap competition, free lunch, and the opportunity to win cash and prizes.
